Join us at Lore Leimert Park on Saturday, October 17, from 7–9 PM to celebrate the release of The Brockman Gallery: Los Angeles 1967–1990 in the gallery’s former space. We’ll be joined by the book’s author, Lauren Hanson, for this special evening!

Founded by brothers Alonzo and Dale Brockman Davis, the Brockman Gallery became a vital home for emerging artists of color, nurturing the early careers of David Hammons, Suzanne Jackson, Carrie Mae Weems, and many others.

This richly illustrated book, the first collaboration between Angel City Press and LACMA, honors the gallery’s history, creative community, and lasting influence on Los Angeles.

Books will be available for purchase, and light refreshments will be provided. Come gather with us to celebrate this extraordinary legacy.
